We are fundraising for a project in Ghana. We were looking for premises to run our programs for West Africa. We have found land on which to build sustainable ecological housing for local people and volunteers where we can support them vocationally, and with life skills, coaching, relationship counselling and youth initiatives. We wish to launch a campaign against the influx of plastic [plastic water bags] which is a blight on the rural landscape. We need to educate the locals about the dangers of plastic.

We would like to launch a campaign to rehydrate people in rural areas. The lack of information and awareness makes them buy plastic water bags which by themselves are ineffective at rehydrating and cause massive waste issues. Knowledge of and access to electrolytes is something which we would like to tackle. Many many people suffer from dehydration related illnesses such as headaches, kidney stones for which they rely on painkillers to find relief when good rehydration would prevent these problems.
